Jennifer Nissley (she/her/hers) is the author of the queer young adult novels THE MYTHIC KODA ROSE and THE RULES OF US. She received her MFA in Fiction from Stony Brook Southampton and is currently at work on an unannounced contemporary YA novel that explores grief through the lens of survivor’s guilt, forthcoming from Labyrinth Road/Penguin Random House. In addition to writing novels, Jennifer is a teacher with nearly a decade of experience working with students of all ages in Creative Writing and English Language Arts. A former instructor of Creative Writing at Stony Brook University, where she taught classes ranging from Creative Writing 101 to short fiction workshops to LGBTQ+ literature, she presently teaches in Borough of Manhattan Community College’s CUNY Start program, helping English learners from all across the globe strengthen their reading and writing skills in preparation for credit college courses.
She lives in Queens with her spouse and their pets.
